FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is Canada’s primary economic immigration pathway and gives skilled workers, and their loved ones, the opportunity to immigrate to Canada permanently.

This program is one of the three programs contained within Canada’s Express Entry system for processing permanent residency applications. Before applying for the program, an applicant must first complete an online Express Entry profile and meet the criteria to enter the pool of candidates.

Skilled Worker applicants are assessed based on their ability to become economically established in Canada. Factors include, but are not limited to the applicant’s work experience, language abilities and education.
